🏈 NFL β€” Week 7 (Oct 22–27)

History in Paris: the Steelers and Saints just played the first-ever NFL game on French soil at the Stade de France β€” and it came down to the final minutes. Chris Boswell drilled a 47-yard field goal as the first half expired (13–10 Pittsburgh), then Payton Wilson’s red-zone interception of Tyler Shough β€” the first pick of Shough’s career β€” swung the third quarter. T.J. Watt sits at 5.5 sacks on the year, DK Metcalf hauled in catches in front of the Paris crowd, and the Steelers took a 16–10 lead into the fourth. Final: NFL.com/scores.

Thursday night: the Bears took down the Patriots 30–24 at Soldier Field, and Caleb Williams was the story β€” 22 of 33, 308 yards, two touchdowns and a 116.7 rating. Rookie receiver Luther Burden III went for 130 yards, while Rhamondre Stevenson’s 115-yard night wasn’t enough for New England. Chicago is quietly becoming the NFC North’s problem.

⚾ World Series β€” Brewers lead Rays 2–0

Forty-four years of waiting is almost over in Milwaukee. The Brewers β€” in their first Fall Classic since 1982 β€” took both games at American Family Field and are now eight innings of baseball per night away from the first championship in franchise history. The Rays, one of five teams to never win it all, are up against it.

Game 1 (3–2 MIL): rookie flame-thrower Jacob Misiorowski spun five innings of one-run ball, Jackson Chourio stacked two timely hits, and William Contreras did a little bit of everything β€” an RBI single plus two runners thrown out on the bases. The ninth inning was pure chaos before Milwaukee escaped.

Game 2 (5–4 MIL): Tampa Bay drew first blood with an error-fueled four-run first and chased Brewers-killer Drew Rasmussen before the fourth. Then Milwaukee just… kept finding a way. Sal Frelick went deep, Cooper Pratt delivered the go-ahead single, Contreras gunned down another runner at the plate in the eighth, and Aaron Ashby slammed the door for a stunning comeback save. That’s seven straight postseason wins for the Brew Crew.

Tonight β€” Game 3: the Rays have to strike back immediately or the series is effectively over. ex-Brewer Freddy Peralta looms for Tampa Bay later in the series. Contreras, Jonathan Aranda and Chourio are tied atop the Series hitting leaderboard at four knocks apiece.

πŸ€ NBA 2026-27 β€” Opening Week Went Off

Opening night delivered everything: Anthony Edwards dropped a 45-piece and joined a legendary list with another season-opener explosion. Kevin Durant looked 25 again in Year 20 β€” 30 points in his Rockets debut as Houston rolled Dallas 128–110 despite Cooper Flagg’s 32/5/3 in his regular-season debut. Anthony Davis went 34 & 12 in his Wizards debut (Washington 128, Milwaukee 116) with Trae Young dishing 20-and-13, while the Sixers spoiled ring night in New York behind Tyrese Maxey’s 28. And Tyrese Haliburton’s emotional return from injury capped the night.

Defending champion OKC looks terrifying again β€” SGA was getting buckets from the jump.
